A Salem Law Firm Built on One Principle: You Deserve the Truth
Our Story
Why This Firm Exists
When Monique Boucher Lamb founded this practice on January 4, 1999, she had a clear idea of what kind of attorney she wanted to be — and what kind she didn't.
She had seen what happened when attorneys told clients only what they wanted to hear. When they disappeared between hearings. When they treated people going through the worst moments of their lives like billable hours on a spreadsheet. She built Lamb & Lamb, P.C. to be the opposite of that.
Born and raised on the North Shore, Monique chose to plant her practice in Salem — the community she grew up in, the courts she knows by name, the judges she has appeared before for more than two decades. This wasn't a business decision. It was a commitment to the people and families of Essex County.
The firm's founding motto has never changed: "We provide the advice clients need to hear, not the advice they want to hear." That honesty isn't comfortable to offer. But it is what clients — going through divorce, fighting for their children, or finally confronting debt they can't outrun — actually need from an attorney. And it is what Lamb & Lamb has delivered for over 25 years.

Why Clients Choose Us
What Makes Lamb & Lamb Different From Other Essex County Law Firms.
We Are Local In A Way That Actually Matters
Monique was born here, built her career here, and has appeared before the Essex County Probate and Family Court for over 25 years. She knows the local court procedures, the local judges, and the local legal community. That institutional knowledge is not something that can be replicated by a regional office of a national firm — and it makes a real difference in how cases are handled and how outcomes are shaped.
We Tell You The Truth Even When It's Hard
The audience intelligence behind this firm's reputation — built across 15+ years of client reviews — consistently returns to one theme: Monique tells clients what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. That's rare in legal marketing. It's even rarer in practice. If you've worked with an attorney who over-promised and under-delivered, this firm will feel different from the first conversation.
We Have Handled What You're Going Through — Many Times
With 12+ documented case results across child custody, divorce, paternity, bankruptcy, appeals court victories, and interstate removal, and with clients who have returned to the firm over 6, 8, and 10-year spans, the depth of experience here is real. Not claimed. Demonstrated.
We Care About More Than The Case
The most consistent language in Lamb & Lamb client reviews is not about winning. It's about feeling heard, feeling supported, and feeling like a person — not a file number. Monique's pro bono work with children in the court system and her Essex County Bar Association community role are not footnotes. They are expressions of the same values that drive how she represents paying clients.
